PROTECTING NEW ZEALAND’S MOST VULNERABLE FROM BECOMING DRAGON FOOD

HBO’s House of the Dragon was returning to New Zealand on the streaming service NEON. This is a show about Dragons and dragons eat sheep. New Zealand has 25 million sheep, the backbone of our industry – we had to do something to protect them, so we created Baattlewear – armour designed specifically for our woolly friends.

Teaming up with one of New Zealand’s top production design studios, we created two distinct suits. One representing House Green and the northern Romney sheep breed. The other House Black and the Merino Sheep of the south. Each crafted to reflect the themes of the show combined with the world of the sheep, and given a lore worthy of George RR Martin himself. People could explore the armour up close at show premieres, events like Armageddon and through social. It also featured in film and outdoor. What was a very New Zealand show launch spread across the world and all that’s left to dois arm the other 25 million.
